Virtual Board Game

When the pandemic halted in-person events, a client approached us with an urgent challenge. They had invested in a physical, facilitator-led board game designed for a live event — and now needed it reimagined as a fully interactive virtual experience that could be delivered over Microsoft Teams.

At the time, we were contractually restricted from using JavaScript to extend Articulate Storyline. This meant the entire game — mechanics, logic, interactivity, and multiplayer functionality — had to be engineered using native Storyline capabilities alone.

The result was a fully functional, four-player digital board game featuring randomised dice rolls, draggable playing pieces, score tracking, and integrated question logic. It recreated the energy and engagement of the physical experience in a seamless virtual format, enabling distributed teams to participate remotely without losing competitive interaction.

The version shown here is a generic adaptation of the original client build, featuring general knowledge questions in place of the confidential content.

The project was selected for showcase at DemoFest in Orlando, Florida (2022). I personally demonstrated the experience to approximately 3,000 conference attendees alongside around 30 other vendors. Attendees voted for their favourite solution — and the board game was awarded Best in Show.

Learning Content Proof of Concept

In 2017, one of our global clients challenged us to rethink how their e-learning should be experienced. Together with my team, I helped design and build a refreshed navigation model that moved away from traditional “Next” and “Back” button-driven progression.

Instead, we created an interaction-led experience where learners advanced naturally through engagement. Content progressed automatically once activities were completed, encouraging active participation rather than passive clicking. The interface relied on internal navigation and contextual triggers, resulting in a cleaner, more immersive learning journey.

We presented a fully designed proof of concept to the client, and the response was immediate and enthusiastic. The approach was adopted as the new standard — becoming the blueprint for all digital learning we produced for them over the following eight years.

Alongside bespoke projects for global clients, we developed a suite of commercial off-the-shelf learning modules available for purchase across compliance and sales training disciplines.

These products were designed to be flexible: customers could either retain our generic branding or customise the modules with their own visual identity. To support this at scale, I redesigned our Articulate Storyline template architecture to enable rapid rebranding without compromising quality or build integrity.

I also led the restructuring and repurposing of existing content into the new generic framework, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and scalability across the product range. The result was a streamlined production model that reduced turnaround time while maintaining a high standard of visual and technical execution.

Professional Showreel

Motion graphics has always been a creative discipline I enjoy — particularly where storytelling, pacing, and visual clarity come together to communicate something with impact.

My previous company approached me to design and produce a short showreel that would encapsulate who we are, what we build, and the measurable results our work delivers. The objective was clear: create a dynamic, professional piece that could showcase our portfolio, highlight the technology we use, and communicate our commercial value — all within a concise, high-impact format.

Working in Adobe After Effects, I concepted, designed, and produced the film from start to finish. This included visual direction, animation design, transitions, typography, pacing, and soundtrack alignment — ensuring the final piece felt cohesive, confident, and representative of the brand.

The result was a polished, fast-paced showreel that brought together complex projects and performance outcomes into a clear, engaging narrative — a piece designed not just to inform, but to leave a lasting impression.
